An exciting transformation is planned for the Canberra Theatre Centre, aligning with the ACT Government’s ambition for Canberra to be recognised as Australia’s arts capital.

Our previous community consultation focused on asking the community their ideas for an iconic and vibrant future Canberra Theatre Centre.

Our previous community consultation responses highlighted that design should prioritise:

• First Nations Connection to Country
• Accessibility requirements for people with disability, mental health conditions and neurodiversity
• High quality audience experience and usability
• Connection to the wider entertainment precinct

We want to explore these ideas more with specific stakeholder communities and are hosting dedicated sessions.
