Engaging with the local sector
Major Projects Canberra actively engages the community in meaningful ways regarding projects that have significant impact on Canberra and its residents.
During the planning and early design phase of the Canberra Theatre Centre Redevelopment project (the Project), we established a Performing Arts Reference Group (PARG). The PARG members represent a diverse cross-section of Canberra's performing arts practitioners, local performing arts venues and live-performance patrons.
As The Project moves into the next phase, the purpose of the PARG is to:
- keep the local arts sector informed on progess and impacts
- test design for future planning
- gather insights and ideas to support matters relating to user experience and construction delivery.
The Project team actively considers the views, ideas and recommendations provided by the PARG.
