The ACT Government expanded the NSW FuelCheck scheme into the ACT in November 2022.

FuelCheck is an online tool that provides consumers with real-time information about fuel prices at service stations across the ACT and NSW.

The ACT Government is conducting a post-implementation review on the operation of the FuelCheck scheme since its commencement in the ACT. Thank you to those who provided their feedback.

FuelCheck is an online tool which lets motorists:

• find the cheapest fuel being sold in the ACT and NSW
• search for fuel by type (standard unleaded, premium unleaded, diesel, etc) or brand
• save further through advice on the cheapest day of the week to fill up and notifications when prices are dropping at favourite stations.

Since FuelCheck became available in the ACT, it has been possible to use the FuelCheck app to shop around and save, on average, 12 cents per litre on standard unleaded, 16 cents per litre on premium unleaded, and 25 cents per litre on diesel.
