31 December 2021

In 2020, the ACT Government committed to develop and implement an ACT Disability Health Strategy. The aim of the Strategy is to ensure better health outcomes for people with disability.

The development of the Strategy is taking place across three phases. The first phase, which focused on scoping, has now been completed.

Phase One work included the development of a scoping paper called Future Directions of Disability Health in the ACT: Phase One of the ACT Disability Health Strategy Project.

Targeted consultation also took place through the ACT Disability Health Strategy Roundtable, the findings from which can be found in the Listening Report – Phase One of the ACT Disability Health Strategy Project.

The second phase of the project is scheduled to commence in January 2022, and will deliver a draft of the ACT Disability Health Strategy and a First Action Plan for consultation.
