Relocation of Arcadia House: This project is open for feedback

The ACT Government is committed to strengthening the health system to ensure Canberrans can access public health services when and where they need them. Community health infrastructure plays a vital role in delivering care close to home, supporting early intervention, and aiding recovery.

As part of planning for the new northside hospital, several community health services need to relocate from ageing facilities that are no longer fit for purpose. This presents an opportunity to ensure future facilities are well-located, functional for clinicians, welcoming for patients, and environmentally sustainable.

Arcadia House is currently located on Mary Potter Circuit, Bruce. It provides residential and day programs for people seeking to abstain from alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. The programs focus on developing positive life skills to support personal goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Clients receive 24/7 support from qualified on-site staff, providing individual case management, counselling, therapeutic groups and other health promoting activities. For more information about Arcadia House visit the Arcadia House Website.
