About the project
The Canberra and Region Heritage Festival returns from 11 April to 10 May 2026, celebrating the places, stories and people that have shaped our city. This year’s theme, Mid-century – innovation, change and optimism, highlights a time of bold ideas, creativity and cultural transformation in Canberra’s heritage. The festival offers a diverse program of events for all ages — from architecture, design and local history to First Nations stories and hands-on activities. With tours, talks, exhibitions, food experiences and even dancing in the dark, there’s something for everyone. Visit the Heritage Festival website to explore the full program, plan your visit and get involved.
How to have your say
Attendees and event holders are invited to complete a short survey about their experience.
Your feedback is important, it helps us understand what worked well and where we can improve, shaping future festivals to make them even more engaging and inclusive.
The online survey will open when the festival commences on 11 April.
