Attend the Jerrabomberra Wetlands Community Event
Pop-up stall (2 Dairy Road | 10am-12pm)
We will have staff at the pop-up stall at 2 Dairy Road from 10am to midday to chat and answer any questions you may have about the East Lake Place Plan and how it will guide future planning for the area. [No registration required - drop in and say hi!]
Bird Watching Tour (Ages 12+ | max 10 people | 1 hour)
Guided tours within the Wetlands for up to 10 people. Binoculars can be provided if people don’t have their own.
Tales and Trails (Ages 1-5 years | max 20 children | 1.5 hours)
A story-time based arts and crafts adventure for younger children. Parents/carers will facilitates child’s participation and accompany children at all times.
Bush and Waterbugs (Ages 5–13 years | max 15 children | 1.5 hours)
An opportunity for children to explore the wetlands in the shoes of an environmental scientist or water quality expert. Participants will be guided to take samples of water at the dipping ponds and use microscopes to examine them in the lab to discover a hidden world of microscopic bugs that tell us a lot about water pollution.
Bush Tucker and Connecting with Country Walk (max 20 people | 1 hour)
All ages activity to learn about bush tucker available in the Wetlands and walk on Country with Ngunnawal Custodian Tyronne Bell. (Please note that if you previously registered for the 'Walk on Country' this is the same event and you do not need to re-register).
