The Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate has reviewed and updated the ACT's Environmental Standards: Assessment and Classification of Liquid and Non-Liquid Wastes to help waste generators classify the waste they produce. The updated draft Environmental Standards will align waste classification processes with those in New South Wales including a reduction in waste categories and the inclusion of criteria not currently captured within the Environmental Standards.
