This project is open for feedback
About the project
Public spaces are the glue that holds communities together. Walkable, accessible, well-designed open spaces can allow people to relax, exercise, meet, play, chat, connect and enjoy the natural environment.
The ACT Government will refresh Fraser Oval to provide a safe, fun and accessible space for learning and play for students at Fraser Primary School, and the wider community outside of school hours.
This project will deliver a natural open space that promotes a healthier lifestyle for students and the community. It will be an engaging space for students at Fraser Primary School to access and enjoy as part of their learning. Outside of school hours, this public space will enable the wider community to relax, exercise and connect.

How to have your say
We have already sought some early ideas from the students at Fraser Primary School as well as Traditional Owners (through Thunderstone) on what is important to them in this new space.
Now we invite the wider community, including children and young people, to have their say to help shape the future elements of this space. Our intention is to refresh this open public space creating a natural environment for all ages to access and enjoy.
Following the conclusion of this engagement process, we will publish a ‘What We Heard’ report summarising the feedback received. There will be a procurement process for a designer, and draft designs will be shared with the community on this page for feedback before they are finalised.
To have your say, you can Take the Survey and/or Mark your ideas directly onto the map of Fraser Oval below.
The impact of having your say
What you tell us will shape the design for the refresh of Fraser Oval. Your feedback will be reflected in a ‘What We Heard’ report that summarises the elements the community would like incorporated into the refresh of Fraser Oval. There will then be a procurement process for a designer, and draft designs will be shared with the community on this page for feedback before they are finalised.
Please follow the page for updates and opportunity to engage in further consultation.
