About the project
Public spaces are the glue that holds communities together. Walkable, accessible, well-designed open spaces can allow people to relax, exercise, meet, play, chat, connect and enjoy the natural environment.
The Education Directorate is refreshing Fraser Oval to create a natural, safe, fun and accessible space for students at Fraser Primary School to learn and play. The refreshed oval will also be a welcoming space for the wider community to enjoy outside school hours.
Students, families, Traditional Owners and the wider community have shared their ideas to help shape the Fraser Oval Refresh. Community feedback on the concept design has now closed, and what we heard is helping us finalise the design.
Concept design
This is an illustration only; the detailed concept design is available in the document library.
This design is based on what you told us last year and aims to create an open, welcoming space for students and the community.
Feedback received on the concept design is helping us finalise the design. Please note: the design is subject to change.
The impact of having your say
Your feedback played an important role in shaping the concept design for the Fraser Oval Refresh. The ideas and comments shared by students, families, Traditional Owners and the wider community last year are summarised in the What We Heard Report which is available in the document library.
We are now reviewing feedback received about the concept design to help us finalise the design.
An updated What We Heard Report will be shared on this page in a future update.
The Fraser Oval Refresh Project works are expected to begin during the 2026 school year.
