Gather with your community at this workshop to explore the community’s priorities, ideas and vision for Gungahlin Town Centre East.

During this interactive 1.5 hr session, attendees will be guided through a series of individual and group activities to:

  • Share views on what inspires and attracts people to live, work and visit the Gungahlin District and its town centre today, and explore perceptions of what is missing
  • Learn about the trends shaping how we might live, work and play in the suburbs in 2050, and reflect on what Gungahlin Town Centre East may need to include to attract people to the area in the future
  • Consider the key attributes of sustainable, community-focussed and vibrant town centres and share your views on the priorities to be addressed in Gungahlin Town Centres East
  • Share your ideas for what you’d like to see at Gungahlin Town Centres East and create your vision of the future through a creative collage activity.
  • Hear about and build upon the priorities and ideas already shared in recent community engagement activities including the pop-up stalls at Celebrate Gungahlin Festival, Community Panel surveys and key stakeholder discussions.

The insights you contribute will help inform the development of a Place Ambition Statement for Gungahlin Town Centre East, capturing the community’s desired look, feel and experience of the precinct, and articulates the key elements the community would like to see delivered to create a great town centre for the current and future community of the Gungahlin District.

This Place Ambition Statement will then be utilised by the design team to spatially express the desired outcomes in a detailed Design and Place Framework in the next phase of the project.

This workshop is being offered on two different days with two different ways to participate - both face to face or online – the content guiding the workshops will be the same.
