To further inform your feedback on the draft strategy, drop-in community information sessions were held at the Forde Community Centre. These drop-in sessions were held over two days on Thursday 17 December 2020 and Wednesday 24 February 2021. These sessions gave you the opportunity to chat with our Parks and Conservation officers about the proposed strategy and ask any questions you had.

The Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary is managed in partnership with ACT Government, the Woodlands and Wetlands Trust and the Australian National University. This partnership identified a need to develop a new strategy for the management of the Sanctuary including how we can improve the role of Ngunnawal Culture in its management.
Over 12 months, the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary Draft Strategy 2020-2045 was developed with input from community representatives, ACT Government staff and researchers who are engaged as a part of the current management partnership.
This final strategy will help us to manage and conserve the natural and cultural heritage environment at Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary. It will also cement a renewed partnership, opportunity for strong community engagement and a strengthening of the Ngunnawal People's connection to Country.

The feedback received through the community consultation period was used to improve the draft strategy and inform how we can best implement some long-term strategies around the management of the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary.The final Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary Strategy 2050 is now live in the Document Library.
