Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on parking at Torrens shops. We received 95 pieces of feedback in total including 58 surveys, 6 email submissions and 31 people provided direct feedback at the community pop-ups.

We have updated the plan for proposed parking and traffic safety improvements guided by all feedback. The final plan seeks to find a balance between both the trader and community needs.

The ACT Government is improving parking and traffic safety at Torrens shops to ensure the existing facilities meet the needs of everyone who uses them.

Improvements include:

• introducing a new 20km/h shared zone for the main car park
• restricting truck access to the one-way laneway behind the shops
• a mix of parking spaces to better meet the needs of visitors and workers at the shops.

The ACT Government manages 47 parking spaces at Torrens shops.
