Have your say on sport and active recreation infrastructure in Tuggeranong

Background information

The Government recently completed its assessment of a proposal to build a new ice sports facility in Tuggeranong. After working with the project partners to explore options, an agreement could not be reached and the project will not go ahead.

To make sure Tuggeranong still benefits from this investment, the ACT Government will redirect the funding that had been set aside for the ice sports facility. A total of $16.265 million will now be invested in other sport and recreation infrastructure projects in the region.

The impact of having your say

This is an opportunity for local residents, clubs and community groups to help shape how this funding is used. Your feedback will help the Government understand what facilities are most important to the community and where investment can deliver the greatest benefit for Tuggeranong.

Taking part in this consultation, including submitting project ideas, suggestions or feedback, does not guarantee that a project will receive funding or go ahead. All ideas and projects will be considered alongside other factors, including cost, feasibility, community benefit and alignment with Government priorities.
