Update on consultation process

31 March 2023

After waiting 25 years, Canberrans are using the opportunity to have their say on the voluntary assisted dying model.

Since opening on 7 February 2023, the YourSay page has received over 7,000 visitors, with almost 400 contributions received from individuals and organisations.

This shows how much Canberrans care about this important personal, ethical, social, and legal issue.

She mentioned the dedicated roundtables with disability and mental illness, health professionals, hospitals, hospices, aged care facilities, and representatives from our First Nations communities. As well as youth, women, LGBTIQ+ people, and multicultural affairs.
