Thank you to everyone who used the interactive cycling map to tell us what cycleway priorities would make it easier for you to walk or ride more regularly. Consultation is now closed.
If you want to report a path maintenance issue, please go to Fix My Street.
Walking, cycling and other forms of active travel are at the centre of our plans to make Canberra an even more liveable and sustainable city. Having the right active travel infrastructure is important for making it easy and safe for people to choose active travel.
Canberra has an excellent network of shared paths, on road bike lanes and relatively quiet neighbourhood streets which make cycling safe and accessible for most ages and abilities. Many paths follow routes that cannot be seen from busy roads making them more pleasant and sometimes more direct.
The cycle network map includes:
- current principal and main cycle routes
- future routes already included in our pipeline of active travel projects
- potential future priority routes to include in the project pipeline.
If the map is too busy, you can toggle the different layers on and off using the layers button in the top left hand corner of the map.
