Have your say on the concept designs for the CIT Campus Woden

The CIT Campus Woden project will have a series of vibrant public spaces to welcome students, commuters, visitors and residents.

Take some time to review the new proposed plans. Feedback gathered during this period will help inform the formal development application for the delivery of the CIT campus at Woden.

Project Facts

  • The project includes a new, light-rail-ready transport interchange.
  • Precinct features will include public toilets, secure bike storage, covered walkways, outdoor seating, informal gathering and green spaces, a ceremony space - all tied together by a pedestrian boulevard linking the transport interchange and Woden Town Centre.
  • The campus concept design has a strong connection to Ngunnawal country and is inspired by the palette of local fauna and the Brindabella ridgeline landscape.
  • The project includes a youth foyer with up to 20 units to support young people who are at risk of, or are experiencing homelessness, by providing accommodation, support services and opportunities to pursue education and training in the one location.
  • As part of the project there will be 15 new school-based apprenticeships for girls.
  • As part of the project there will be 15 new apprentices for women.
  • There is a commitment for people working on the project to be made up of 10 percent apprentices/traineeships.
  • There is a 15 percent stretch target for participation of women in the design and construction of the project.
  • There is a commitment to a 10 percent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander procurement policy.
  • The project will deliver a 6 Star, Green Star, all electric campus.

The external design of the CIT Woden Campus is strongly influenced by smooth lines in nature, which includes multiple areas of relaxation, recreation and ease of access for those who are using the area.
