This consultation is now closed. Thank you for your feedback that helped shape ACT Youth Week 2018.
To see what we heard during consultation, check out the What We Heard Report.
How you had YourSay:
During consultation we heard from a range of young people living in Canberra, community representatives, and government stakeholders. You were able to share your ideas and views by:
- completing the survey
- getting in touch with the Youth InterACT team directly
- indicate your interest in attending a Planning to Celebrate session
What we looked at:
National Youth Week is an annual, week-long celebration of young people aged 12–25 throughout Australia. It has been a joint initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.
In the ACT, National Youth Week is coordinated by the Youth Coalition of the ACT and the ACT Government Youth InterACT team. National Youth Week has historically been held in the first week of April, with events all over Australia, to celebrate and recognise the contribution of young people.
In 2017, Commonwealth funding for Youth Week ceased on 30 June. So, we wanted to find out how you want to celebrate Youth Week in Canberra. We wanted to understand your thoughts on how we can continue the week-long event.
How we used your views:
Your views, opinions, and thoughts helped inform us on how we can continue ACT Youth Week.
