Wakool Circuit play space
Project overview
The indicative final design for the Wakool Circuit play space in Kaleen has been released.
The community were invited to provide feedback in September 2022 on a significant upgrade to the Wakool Circuit play space in Kaleen. This included what play elements and equipment the community would like to see. Following this, feedback was analysed and preliminary sketch plans were developed for further community feedback in May 2023. The indicative final design incorporates feedback from this second phase of engagement.
Wakool Circuit play space is being upgraded with key features including:
- climbing tower (ages 0 -17)
- toddler play area with frog sculpture
- shade sail with artwork around the posts
- nature play journey with timber and stilt steppers, log elements and carved artwork boulders
- seating and picnic table
- concrete path with interactive games and lilypads
- landscaping and plantings.
We looked at
Earlier this year we received 84 pieces of feedback in total via the online survey, email, social media and a face-to-face pop up. This feedback informed the preliminary design for the Wakool Circuit play space which we shared with the community in mid-2023 ahead of finalising the design for construction.
