We are looking at
The ACT Government has reviewed play spaces in Kaleen and identified the Wakool Circuit play space as the preferred location for an upgrade. Regular users of Kaleen play spaces and the wider community were encouraged to have a look at the analysis undertaken prior to providing feedback.
During the six-week consultation period we received over 80 pieces of feedback. Some key insights include:
- priorities for additional play equipment and elements are nature play, climbing structures and a basketball hoop or multi-use court
- the most valued amenities are shade, furniture for sitting, eating, studying and picnic shelters
- improving safety and accessibility for toddlers and smaller children is important and should be considered as part of any future play space upgrades.
We will use your views to
We are currently reviewing all feedback to inform the preliminary design and look forward to sharing the design in mid 2023 for further engagement with the community.
